Lake Winnie

As we were driving back from Atlanta, I googled things to do in Chattanooga. A lot of things came up. But  the amusement park stood out to me. We have been to lots of aquariums and we have a science museum. I know Chattanooga's is a lot nicer, but once you've been to an aquarium you have seen an aquarium. Not my idea of fun. But rides...who doesn't love rides? So we headed to Lake Winnie, thank you iphone maps! There was so much for the kids to do. My kids are seven and almost two. My two year old could ride a lot by herself and it was cheap! I can't wait to go back when it cools down some! Erik doesn't do rides that go in circles, so I was the lucky parent that got to ride! Here are a few pictures from our day. 

Kaleigh usually doesn't like to swing but she rode these several times! She loved it! Maybe it was the wind keeping her cool. 

They loved the boats too! The worker went to get Kaleigh out and she tole him "no!". Yikes! He laughed and looked for someone to claim her. I sent her daddy!

We rode tons of rides and some of them twice and then we grabbed some lunch and cooled off in the shade. This park has tons of carnival type rides, sky lifts, paddle boats, games, food, and BIG rides. We never made it to the big rides. After lunch we were ready to go home and cool off in the pool. So we headed out. As we were walking by the lake on our way out, people were throwing their popcorn in the lake. We looked and saw the HUGE fish eating popcorn. 

We headed home, unloaded the truck, and got in the pool. We swam for an hour and the boys cleaned up and headed to the movies to watch Cars 2. Kaleigh, Kelly, and I headed to do a little shopping. It was a fun weekend trip.
