The Zoo with Friends

Monday we went to the Nashville Zoo with the Bates and the Perrys. It was super hot, so I am glad the zoo has lots of shade. We looked at a few animals and then headed to the playground before it got crowded. That was a great idea! There was only a couple of kids there. So you didn't have to worry about your kids getting ran over by others. The boys were all too tall for the mat area. But the girls weren't! Genius idea, basically an idoor deck covered with padding, so kids can run, jump, and fall with out injury!

After the playground we decided to go ahead and do lunch. What would we do without Lunchables and Capri Suns? Teresa has a few ideas for more options! Below are a few cute picnic pictures.

After that we decided to check out some animals. 

The Flamingos were really close...until our kids started yelling at them! :/

The Anteater is so weird looking! I didn't want to bore you with all the pictures of all the animals. I would have hate to have been Adam and to have the job of naming all the animals. There are so many, how creative is he?! 

We eventually found a shaded spot and the ladies sat and talked while the kids became ANIMALS. They climbed rocks, swung from trees, and made animal noises. They went wild.

 When this happens, she is ready for a nap! But it probably was the coolest place to lay down for sure.

 On our way out of the zoo the kids wanted to take pictures with the lions. They still had so much energy!
