I am also thankful for my father. He accepted Christ last year and is now sharing the same joy that I have. Thank you Jesus! I was so proud of him! I love him dearly. He has been a great father all my life and he is the BEST pappy to my children and my lil' nephew Colbie! My children are blessed and so I am! I love you daddy!
My hubby baptizing my father! So sweet!
Kaleb and Pappy playing hockey! Pappy really spoils him!
Pappy at Kaleb's birthday party. He is sliding with Kaleb and Cason. He is just a big kid!
Now about my husband! He is a God send! I love him so much and so do our two children! Before we married we talked about both wanting FIVE children! Crazy, YES! But he is the BEST father. Our first child had some major medical issues at birth and we spent the first two years of his life at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
Hanging out at the hospital.
Riding him around the hospital in the wagon.
Happy just to be with daddy!
His daddy was right by his side. He lead our family with his strong faith through all of fires of Kaleb's life. He kept us focusing on Christ. Our God is able to heal him, but even if he doesn't we will still follow Him. This was the view Erik and I clung to during this time.
A happy, healthy Kaleb and Erik this year at putt putt golf!
Erik and Kaleb have a special bond. For years now they have done "Leader Day". Just a father son date, where Erik teaches him the Bible and they do fun activities together. They usually hang at Starbucks for coffee, hot cocoa. and Bible study. Then off to putt putt, bowling, etc. NO girls allowed! I love that they have this time together. I can't wait until his does father daughter dates too! Erik has been so involved in Kaleb's life. Every detail from his birth, two year hospital stay, all dialysis treatments, day of kidney transplant, birthday. holidays, to first day of kindergarten, coaching his baseball team, taking him to Predators games, UT games, Sounds and Braves games, his first plane ride, to baptizing him this past year, to now helping with his homeschooling due to health issues. HE. IS. AMAZING. I just love him!
He is a man that strives to be like Christ and I am so over joyed that God choose him to be my husband and the father of my children.
About five years later God surprised us with a beautiful little girl, her name is Kaleigh Grace. She is a daddy's girl for sure. She has her daddy wrapped too!
Holding Kaleigh when we got home from the hospital.
Her newborn photos.
Daddy and Kaleigh. (9 days old)
Six month pictures.
First birthday at Crazy Clyde's Slides.
Second Halloween. She was 11 days old her 1st Halloween.
First trip to Florida.
First putt putt golf trip and probably the last for a long time! :/
He is tickling her right now as I type. Her laugh is precious! Cuteness makes me forget about her meaness. Did I mention I love this man!? We have been married nine years and I wouldn't change a thing about our time together. Hopefully, we can adopt some children in the near future. We are talking and praying about adoption now!
Thank you Father in Heaven for a husband that loves you! Thankful that he puts you at the center of every decision he makes. I love you Lord.
...AND Erik I LOVE YOU!
Happy Father's Day!
